We mostly knew what the story would be about with so many teasers , posters so far. Yes its a movie based on Fight between Mankind vs alien monsters called Kaiju. To fight these monsters all world leaders unite to form a Jaeger program which in-turn creates Huge Robots which can fight these monsters and protect humanity. Rest is same as such in any other alien vs robot movies and mankind wins. This kaiju is differentiated based on Size and are called as Category 2,3,4,5 etc...Ther were total of 32 Jaeger and over a period of time that got reduced to four . So the Program Jaegar was called off by all countries but the captain n soldier Idris elba decides to fight back with just the remaining four jaegars forms the rest.
Pros :-

>> Charlie Hunnam as Raliegh Pilot of Mac3 Robot is only one who carries movie in a intresting way.
>> Sure this movie would take you back 20 years TV Series Gaint robot days and you would somehow start to enjoy the movie as some small kid in theater.
>> Robots Robots and robots all the way. Computer graphics is at its best. Cool work and sure more hard work went into this bringing this imaginary robot characters live on screen . Very nice.
>> First 10 min of the movie is just awesome and especially the Robot assembly and preparation for a fight was stunning
>> BGM i must say is so cool and wonderful . Perfectly matches to the encounter scene between Jaeger and kaiju
>> Opening scene and the might by Mac3 & category 4 kaju was cool and meticulously done
>> The Deployment of Jaegar for fight through helicopters was cool
Cons :-

>> Yes we went in with so much expectation , but all we see is the same we seen in all other movies.
>> Yes director was successful taking us back to childhood , so should be the expectation. , we would have expected more weapons out of those robots but actually there is nothing with some boring plasma gun , some air gun and a sword really there is nothing else.
>> Kaiju is nothing but a big size bull. that is just a animal like godzilla , nothing new in it or nothing different
>> First half was like robo vs godzilla a movie released in 90's and the climax was copied from Independence day. Only difference in that movie it happens in space and in this PR it happens under sea.
>> Even the speech from Idris elba at climax before going to the fight doesn't give you that goosebumps which you get during the final president speech by Bill Pullman in independence day . Yes i get it..we just cant compare two movies but if you watch it , sure there is no way you could prevent yourself comparing like this. Its open and clear.
>> There are so many logic misses at many places and there are so many funny scenes at serious place like firing a Flair over monster during a fight scene. Though we can find some answers our-self , it didnt help the movie in any way.
>> There are hardly four fights in the entire movie and as many posters say each robot is different , in movie all robots looks similar and there is nothing much differences between them. coyote tango , cherno alpha , dublindecker , striker eureka , gypsy danger and so many but hardly any difference you would notice.Common we are still not out of Iron man saga and no wonder we expect more out of our robots.
>> So many things are packed so fast and unfortunately director had to dump to many things in a short run. Felt screenplay was super fast making things unclear at times and felt as if director was in a hury .
Overall

We have been seeing so many related movies like this and we just cannot stop yourself comparing with the others . Or may be the reason we went in with so many expectation but when we didnt get that much , may be it leaves us disappointed a little. But keeping things aside , sure this is not a bad attempt and GDT has really done a wonderful job bringing this beautiful characters in a celluloid form . If we had enjoyed super human samurai , giant robot and many others of similar genre , sure we would enjoy this movie so much . But when you go into technical aspects or a wise adult audience , sure you would feel something missing when you completed watching the entire movie. That said i liked this move but watching second time....i doubt. Average movie worth watching if you want to bring in the child in you out. Keep your critic shoes out and you might really enjoy this . If you have kids in home , i am sure they will definitely love this movie a lot.

FAM Final Verdict : GDT has more monsters to fight off-screen. Hope his only trump card Jaegers would help him. Less Likely chances for the sequel
