Compared to its prequel , this movie was packed with powerful star-cast and it was more intense then others. The most catching factor for me was the brilliant antagonist role played by Mel Gibson who himself is a Ex-Expendable who founded this Mercenary Unit along with Sylvester Stallone. This part had more emotions to it and more it was like a reunion of all expendables team. Added to this cast there were few more who brought highlight to it like Harrison Ford , Wesley Snipes , Antonio Banderas made this team more powerful and dangerous . The First extradition task was very nice and the last lengthy fight sequence was good. It was nice to see Sylvester Stallone , Arnold and Mel G are in one movie together. A worthy action packed entertainer not to be missed.

In line of Indiana Jones or National Treasure movie in search of treasure 'N' secrets , this movie falls easily into that category. Its about a search of Midas box which is buried deep on earth and the one which is said to turn anything to gold which is placed inside the box. So anyone having possession of this box is said to control the entire world so for the sake it was buried deep down during Egyptian time. There is a key called Amulet which is needed to open the box and a map which shows the place where this Box resides. So our well known Jurassic park fame Sam Neill as Otto is the antagonist in this film who is in search of this search destroying anything that comes on is way. But yet he doesn't have the key amulet to open the box which is currently broken into two pieces and shared among two brothers Mariah Mundi and Felix Mundi. So this movie is about how Otto find these boys and if he is able to get to the midas box finally , if so what happens to the world falls the rest of story.

Movie is adventurous film quiet comical and falls into fantasy genre. As the boys start searching the secret of Midas box , it becomes quiet interesting to watch and movie travels like a bedtime story. Though its not the best one in this genre but sure worth a watch and is very engaging for sure.

A Perfect Canadian crime thriller which went unnoticed and underrated. This movie is based on Christian Mysticism and beliefs which would give us nostalgic feel like watching Frailty & Angels n Demons. This also falls into a serial killing movie but definitely with a different motive. Below is the logic part of the movie about which it revolves but anything more about this will spoil the suspense element of it.

"Bible was composed around 400 Anno Domini and it had some Oral components as these elements were prohibited from being written down anywhere and it can be only spoken . It was shared among the closed Christ disciples as these were meant to be communicated only between higher priests and as once the blessing been offered , the listener became the keeper of it and the speaker scarifies himself for Liberare Eos ( Means "Sacrifice to set them free" ) "

As the killing starts to happen one after the other with a strange pattern , the investigation of the crime scene becomes very interesting as if we are watching Memories ( Malayalam ) and Zodiac killing. Somehow the detectives decode the message on each kill to track the killer & as they do ,a much larger n darker secret gets revealed. You would understand what means this word Liberare Eos while watching it and how its related to the murders. At the end they show a dead body disappear which leads us to too many questions relating to the prophecy and beliefs which is really stunning. The tensions it builds in the film is so cool n spine chilling and it makes you stick to the seat till the end for sure. I liked this movie a lot and this is sure definitely a one time watch for any thriller movie fans. Enjoy watching.

A Isolated island in Korea called Paradise Highland or Evil island with a least population of just seventeen members live happily as a closed community. They reach to main island only if there is anything important needed from there else they are completely locked down within that island itself. They have doctors , teachers , electrician etc within those small group who take care of each other needs and they cook together and feast along as one large united family. Life goes normal until a murder takes place in a gambling arena in that island. So since no one from outsiders can come and do that , they start to suspect each other , many theories are brought forward in their meetings like ghost stories of cursed women , serial killers etc and some reason as things get tense they start to kill one after the other in misunderstanding till almost all been murdered except countable few. At last when secret revealed about doctors experiment for almost a year in that island things fall in place and answers for all those murders gets revealed.

Movie is very slow but still it just travels . Its rather feels like a family drama though it has killings and horror parts. Visuals are super cool but screenplay could have been far better and they could have prevented unwanted dragging at many places. Still it is one time watch but a average movie only.

Curiosity and Desire is the most dangerous enemy of human beings after all and this movie is one that touches it. A family commits mass suicide as a ritual to resurrect in afterlife by lending their soul to God of Osiris. Osiris was the god of the dead, and ruler of the underworld. Osiris was the brother/husband of Isis, and the brother of Nepthys and Seth. He was also the father of Horus. As well as being a god of the dead, Osiris was a god of resurrection and fertility. Osiris is also believed to be one who resurrected Jesus from death as per movie.

So the family nail them-self to the cross but the little younger son Danny tries to save his one year old brother Sam (a) Johnny from this mass suicide. Since not all souls from family was scarified as promised being the little One year kid gets to escape from the killing , the rest of souls of family member stays in limbo by not crossing over to other side. Johnny returns back to the estate after 18 years on his birthday to sell this 120 acre property and he happen to stay in that place overnight as he doesn't know much details on what happened in that house many years back. So the paranormal activities he encounters in that house and how he helps the souls to pass over to afterlife with the fifth nail of Jesus forms rest of the story.

Movie is definitely not bad and first few minutes that nailing to cross was scary and it feels too much of a occultism then spiritual thing. That big drawing on the floor with eye of Horus explains more about Osiris and the ritual was spine chilling too as if people are using a Ouija board. Story is good but haunted house concept is regular. Still its interesting and sound effects are used really well. That Emma girl on this movie is placed on for no purpose just like that and story is not strong enough to explain why she was there. Yet it is quiet good and can be a one time watch for horror movie fans. A average film , can be a good pick.

As name implies , its a Encryption machine Germans used to send messages and communicate with their U-Boats in Sea. It was considered that Enigma was one of Toughest code's to break and it took ten months to crack it. So Soviet Union had great mathematicians , cryptanalyst , mathematical biologist assemble together as a team in Britain's top-secret code-breaking center, Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II to break the code and decipher it. This is where Alan Turing Came into picture considered as the person who broke Enigma code. His life is made in BBC Documentary and also there is a upcoming film release on his life history called The Imitation Game by Benedict Cumberbatch

Here in this movie Enigma , the main character name is replaced to Tom Jericho who is called for to assist Breaking Code for the government where U-Boats are assembled in sea with a plan to attack and destroy Convoy with large number of cargo ships moving from soviet union to other parts of the world. Here in this movie Tom is recognized as person who broke the original Enigma code and he was called again because Germans got to know the secret that their encryption was no more secret which is created based on weather codes so they have altered the way code is generated because of which Soviets were no more able to decode the messages and inturn unable to find the location of the U-Boats any further. As with the last communication from U-boats before they changed the pattern , soviet knew that its roughly four days for the U-Boats to reach to their convoys so they are running against time to break it sooner before large damage is done. Single the code breaking machines are no longer used , manual code breakers are used to decode these messages and the new encryption is called Sharp enigma. So how tom works his way back to help break the Sharp Enigma code forms the rest of the story.

Whats so catchy about the film is the way it gives us opportunity to understand the Code based world along with those big machines , pattern makers , Enigma machine were all super cool. There are many movie fans who love to watch such genre movies on codes, cryptography and stuff which is almost a geek to its own understanding. Movie will be a little bit slow as it has parallel love track also along with the core plot but still it is engaging as it unfolds. For many it will be difficult to understand many technical terms used in the movie and may need repeated watch for sure or to go through few documentaries and articles to understand it. This is one cool movie not to be missed by any movie fan.

A perfect post-apocalyptic drama based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning 2006 novel of the same name by American author Cormac McCarthy. We have seen many such movies in this genre like "I am legend" , "book of eli" "waterworld" but they are all fast paced ones but this movie is so unique in its own way. Just two main characters in this film Father and a son , their survival story in search of food , shelter where world is almost destroyed due to natural calamities like earth quakes and almost all trees , plants and live-hood are destroyed eradicating almost all human beings in starvation , disease and more importantly because of people turning against each other to get possession of resources for their survival. As food n water became more extinct and a rare commodity , the few left out human forms alive start cannibalism feeding on their own for their survival.

Viggo Mortensen ( Father ) and Kodi Smit ( Son ) had to survive everyday in odds of finding food , shelter and water , at same time to keep them-self away from the group of people who evolved to cannibals now. So movie travels as father n son travel towards South to reach to coast in search of safe place for their future and at same time how Viggo trains his son to survive on tough times was beautifully portrayed. This is rather a best adventure movie i would say as the duo explore them-self in different terrains for their needs. More to that this is visually good too and there are some breath taking moments too in there. That bunker scene with full of supplies is so cool as if we our-self feel like feasting along with them as watching this movie will make you starve with them. Though i was not much convinced of the ending as it was cut short without a proper closure yet this is one such good movie depicting father son relationship perfectly. A movie definitely for all audience and be sure this movie needs patience to watch as its a drama and it gradually moves through you. A must watch movie.

A wonderful Sea exploration movie based on 1947 Kon-Tiki expedition where The Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl crossed 4,300-mile distance via the Pacific Ocean in a balsa-wood raft to prove South Americans had traveled to Polynesia before Columbus invented America. So this theory if proved , then it means that America was already invented by Native people called Kon Tiki who the Polynesian tries call Sun of God who traveled from East and brought things to their island. But the only question was on the practical difficulty to travel from America to Polynesia against high tides in sea that too in a era where boats were not invented or there were any model equipments or technology for navigation. So Thor had to travel himself with team of Five to cross this distance over a balsa raft to prove his theory was not wrong. Though he did prove it at the end , that theory was only partially accepted as there were many questions raised on navigation technique , communication etc so his research stays in archive and Columbus still remain as first person to discover America.

I always liked movies on sea exploration or movies depicting life on sea and this movie impressed me so much. 101 days how thor and his team survive through sea was wonderfully portrayed and especially that big whale scene , That strange jelly fish scene were virtually stunning with a perfect BGM and i just loved it to the core. Even when they finally reach the land over the reef was excellently made. This is sure one of best movies i watched based on journey n expedition after cast away n life of pi . This is a movie definitely not to be missed by any movie fan.

Kaththi ( 2014 ) - " Message straight to the heart. Bulls Eye. "

This movie right from the time ARM announced his project , it went through a roller coaster ride creating much expectation with decent music tracks but a let down with Teaser\Trailer making itself unpredictable all the time. So the festive season has come and Kaththi finally got released in theaters passing through all hurdles it faced. Like all other major star movies , this movie also had a house full first day for fans and so i waited patiently till the next day to watch in theater and i did. No wonder even it was jam packed-on second day too being it a working day for many. Okay lets get into the movie review now.

Movie starts off with a introduction of characters one after the other and as we all know by now its a dual role played by Vijay. So the movie moves on slowly as the characters find their common ground and allowing the script to do it part and evolve itself into a much larger story. Sathish joins in as a friend to vijay and it takes a fun ride for sometime while their combo march towards much serious story. I heard many been telling that the first 20-30 min of the story is slow or dragging , but what i realized is this first 30 min becomes important for the characters to blend in to the story and as we know we just cant jump straight into the main story. So ARM took his time to bring the characters together as screen-time progressed. Sathish one liners and wits were good at parts but its just goes in as a usual one nothing so worthy to mention. Love portion of the movie played by samantha is really not needed for this movie but yet a movie needs to have everything covered and as we know movie plot becomes more active in second half only , first half of the movie just cannot go dry without these placements in it.So comedy tracks , love n romance tracks , music tracks play a major part in it and may be the reason why some might feel it bit slow or dragging. But for me , it was okay and it was really not that bad either though samantha was not that apt for the role but she is just there adding no weightage to the movie.

Kaththi's change over role and how he transforms into a serious character was wonderfully portrayed. Post Lions club award scene story starts to fire up and from then on it just keeps us stick to the seat with edge of seat moments. Unlike ARM's previous movie Thuppakki , this one is altogether different and totally a different genre. So if people go in expecting to watch Thuppakki Part 2 then yes it might lead to disappointment. This is more of a emotions filled message oriented action movie and you had to allow the story n its emotions to build in you to enjoy this film. The core message delivered in this movie relating to farmers is definitely a overlooked social issue in India and i am really glad ARM picked it up to send a strong message to people instead of regular subjects. Whats more catchy is that with a difficult message to say , ARM did a perfect job to portray it in his own style with Kaththi (a) Kathiresan as his weapon of destruction. Every fights in the movie were brilliantly made and it will be a real treat to vijay fans for sure. Those razor sharp dialogues were awesome throughout and Vijay body-language was mere perfect in this film too. I was really happy to notice that there were no unwanted punch dialogues or quotes added to the movie just for the sake of it , rather all the dialogues were supporting to the script more perfectly.

I guess Vijay's previous Dual role movies didnt made a mark in the industry but i believe he finally found the right film maker who can give it to him as expected. This Kaththi movie will be a mark of his beginning into Dual role film for sure and i am sure actor vijay will be more then happy to notice it.The major plus point in the film is its BGM , i would say without the right BGM these characters wouldn't created that intensity in the screen. Bad eye theme was awesome but i feel antagonist role by Neil Nitin Mukesh was not much justified in this film yet Kaththi with his Kaththi theme takes the screen to his control with his presence. Every BGM at actions sequences was mind-blowing with goosebumps all over, Sure Anirudh did deliver what director trusted him with. Music tracks created a much hype but on screen they were not that catchy actually. Yet Pakkam vandhu was good supported by good choreography and as one can expect vijay dance steps was excellent to watch. Aathi song is my favorite track in this movie but visuals was really not that impressive as it was all done in closed sets instead oof shooting them in some good locations , whatever that green matte technology it was used , yet it was really not that attractive. Rest all tracks are just placed here and there on purpose and they take its course.

Pre-climax scene was brilliant and the way kaththi plots the scheme to tackle the situation was really engaging and meticulously done.There were some instances were the emotions take its toll bringing tears in you seeing the cruelty people go through in villages and especially when the people in old age home say to kaththi that they are again ready to commit suicide to attract national audience was heart wrenching to the core. A very melancholic script handled in such perfection is no easy job and really ARM had proved it yet again and looks like this combo ARM with vijay seems to be a successful one after-all. Having said all these i don't deny there are too many logic skips and very open errors in the movie which is clearly noticed and could have been avoided if extra care was taken , still those mistakes never impact the actual plot in any way allowing screenplay to have complete immunity from it. I wouldn't say this is best of vijay or ARM but i will definitely say this is a very good attempt from them and its really a very good entertainer for sure. If you go in theater to watch and enjoy movie alone keeping your judgements , biased views or critic mind out then this movie will definitely impress you for sure. This movie definitely deserves a one time watch for normal audience if not for the star cast behind it but at-least for the message it tries to portray. But for vijay fans this sure will be a happy diwali season to see his favorite actor rocking the screen with his brilliant acting.This is definitely a above average fair. A major astrological event where a meteor crosses earth origin so closely and how it impacts humans in a great way forms core plot of the movie. Though it sound like alien or Sci-Fi film but its definitely not rather its a coherence effect like a parallel universe kind off. This movie is so simple and happens inside four wall with group of friends meet up for a get together and as they start discussing about their life , strange things come up and much darker secrets are revealed as they learn about their identity. Movie is good but i feel its kind of dragged beyond a acceptable limit. A simple concept movie twisted so much to create a mind bending feel which i feel is unnecessary at few places. It just gives more of a sitcom feel and needs little more patience to watch. But yet its quiet unique plot and average one which can be watched once for sure.

Are you a fan of Fairy Tales or Bed time stories or Fantasy movies ? Do you love movies like Alice in Wonderland or Wonderful Wizard of Oz ? Are you are reader of Comic books ? Do you love movies on magic , witches and sorcerers ? If yes is answer of all the above then this is one movie not to be missed.

The first thing which attracts in this movie is its backdrop as it takes you back to 18th century. The picturization is in such a way that this all happens as if in a dream or a wonderland and it is as if grandma telling a story to you. Movie is lengthy and definitely need patience to watch through it. It starts of with all unnatural phenomenon involving witches , horned monsters , spells , Deserted Church and mysteries within it and there are even some classic moments which might be apt to be watched in 3D and it was definitely good. As first half of movie would be as said above and later half flips completely on other angle giving a rational explanation to everything happening in that place. Again the length of the movie might have affected the phase of the movie a bit but still it will keep you engaging for sure. Not the best but a average movie definitely can be watched and experienced. Enjoy watching

Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi means Blue Skies, Green Ocean, Red Earth which is quiet a apt title for this movie. A excellent adventure movie every bikers would love to watch where two friends take a road trip , a journey from Kerala to Nagaland for find answers to their destiny and to get his love back from where they lost. Its so beautiful to watch such Indian movies based on bike trips as there are very less in such genre. It just kept giving me a nostalgic feel of watching Walter Salle's Motorcycle Diaries movie at many parts. Music tracks 'n' BGMs were nice but cinematography with some stunning visuals around india was so cool to watch.

Having said that , the negative aspect of the movie is its story itself and it was not really that catchy for a movie like this. I rather enjoyed the part where they travel and get along with many people en-route which is the best part but coming back to their college flash back or story around their family home in Kerala was kind off odd or to say not much of a pleasant factor for a feel good film. Yet keeping that aside i liked this movie very much and especially the two characters Dulquer Salmaan as Kasim aka Kasi & Sunny Wayne as Sunil their friendship was good to watch .Overall this is a visually good movie at parts and definitely can be watched once for the efforts they took. Those macho bullets that thump i just love them and i am sure this is the journey what every biker would love to have at-least once in their life.Ride along.....
