Edegarike ( 2012 ) Kannada
Edegarike means GUTS. Casting two
powerful actors like Aditya n Atul Kulkarni this movie has so much
thumps to it . I seen Aditya in his other movie called Deadly Soma which
is about a real life of a deadly gangster but what catching in that
film was his dialogue delivery and his body language which is very apt
for a gangster role and it still is one of my favorite gangster film
from Kannada. And this movie Edegarike was recommended to me casting Aditya as lead character and i must say it was one hell of a beautiful experience watching this movie.
Unlike Deadly soma , this movie is very different , its more of a
emotionally filled gangster film just like a Confession of a Killer.
Aditya a big time contract killer ends up in love which costed his life
at the end. And how he chooses his destiny forms the core plot of the
story. More then aditya i liked Atul role in this film who actually
brings out the intensity in this movie , it was lovely. Though the end
was just the ordinary the way aditya chose to sacrifice is life of his
love , but in real-time it was quiet unrealistic. But keeping that aside ,
this is one of good Slow paced emotional but engaging Gangster flick
for sure. Not sure why most of Kannada film ends as like Korean movies
with no happy ending at all , yet that said this movie was unique in its
own way.One more nice film from aditya and he seems to be a promising
star in Kannada industry.
