Yet another family drama with Love as center plot of this movie. Nothing new been tried with same old routine and as always these kind of movies always needed Santhanam to the rescue. Unlike other films , sathanam maintained is stature with no much double meaning comedies , rather it was well timed and entertaining . One factor which could hit the viewers hard will be that unnecessary extension to the length of this film by adding too many Sound tracks . Director might have thought that could save the viewers from boredom but instead that was the cause of uneasiness during this movie watch time. Alongwith with Harris horrible soundtracks & worst bgm , adding too many songs with every romance scenes was taxing and very very irritating to the core. Hardly one or two sound tracks were apt & well placed in this movie and rest all are totally unnecessary and disgusting to listen.
Udhayanidhi performance was better then his earlier film but yet the script was not too supportive to his role. But the only icing factor apart from Santhanam was Nayantara , she was really cool looking , soothing to watch and dazzling as she carried her charm from her earlier movie "Raja Rani ". Aadukalam Naren as father character did his best but yet again the scope for his character was very less compared to his powerful casting in Sundarapandian movie , feels the depth to characterization was not given importance here . That said movie was not too bad , definitely watchable once for fun 'n' entertainment part alone as there are too many moments which would make you laugh out your heart , thanks to santhanam for that recovery at right times.
Though this movie tried to bring the inner thoughts of parents when their children fell pray for love and the toll it takes on family or its values , but it didnot deliver the message right what it intended too as i guess it failed largely in that regards. Climax was blunt except one or two dialogues its was a complete disaster and even the love romance scenes between Nayanthara 'n' Udayanidhi was not great with a real bad chemistry , unreal 'n' artificial. Definitely this movie had lot of scope but missed to attract audience greatly. If you go in with no expectation , you might enjoy this movie somewhat . For me it was average and i liked it .
