A group of people go beneath Paris catacombs in search of Philosopher's Stone Which is thought to possess great magical powers also it was believed to hold power to convert any metals to gold in contact. This was also called as Flamel Stone named after the Alchemist who was successful in reproducing such stone and he hid that stone deep down the earth to keep it safe and that the Tablet in Nicholas Flamel Tomb was considered to have secret Symbols and Ciphers which lead to this location. So this group of people in this film were able to decipher that Mysterious tablet and whether they were able to get to the stone or not falls the rest of the story.

Whats so catchy about this movie is its making , never even guessed it that this would be such a engaging movie actually. It was like as if we are traveling along with them under those caves exploring that hard paths and tunnels , it was definitely not a easy thing to make. It was as if we are watching National treasure or Indiana Jones movies all over again and if you like adventurous cum thriller movie , this will definitely impress you for sure. Those symbolism , that secret doors and tunnels were all catchy and the last scene when they come out of manhole was definitely mind bending finishes. Total movie captured in Handy-cam and they really made it good. Overall this is one thriller movie not to be missed.

Was on a wait list for long and finally had a chance to watch this movie. For sure its a decent action cum Sci-Fi adventure movie .With those new characters introduction who are out to protect the galaxies from harm , storyline was engaging and gripping too. CG works were cool at most and this is definitely a movie worth watching once.

Enjoyed a complete action entertainer after a long time. I just couldn't believe that Denzel Washington can do a role like this even now and its definitely a wow factor. Actually i was thinking how he would really make it into such a movie now but i was totally wrong. Right from the word go , this movie kept its accelerator on and raced towards the end. Plot is so regular as we seen in many other movies like Leon the profession or Man from nowhere etc.but yet this movie had its own jaw dropping moments. Next to the stunning performance from Denzel , its the BGM which attracts us most and especially the BGM during last fight scene under the rain from fire alarm inside the store was intense. Also that slow motion capture while he destroys a container ship with his walking style along with a right perfect bgm was just mind blowing.

This movie also has its fare share of Logic flaws here and there but yet with a meticulously done screenplay it supersedes everything. I cant rate this with all other action movies but my experience with watching this movie was great and thoroughly enjoyed it. Though the movie is nothing new as i said already , but the way it was made especially with Denzel's screen presence with this two sided cameo acting steals the show. This will definitely be a treat for action movie lovers and one definitely not to be missed.

Nuri Bilge Ceylan's yet another magical film , which takes you to a journey of Human Emotions , their inner feelings and their soul searching for a answer to find the purpose of their existence. This everything well packed in a single most brilliant movie which ran for 3hr and 16 min which just felt so quick once you get along with it. Its about life of Aydin who is a former actor cum a rich wealthy person in locality owning a hotel for tourists adding to that many lands , renting houses and living a kings life there with all needs coming to his table. But when a man gets everything he needs there will be always something which he is longing for and here in this case his relationship with his young wife Nihal & his sister Necla went sour.So this movie is about the how Aydin starts to realize life how it is and how he adapts to accept it as it comes by making amends to his wife to win back his relationship with her and whether this search for answer lead to his enlightenment forms remaining part of the story.

Though the movie is lengthy, it would still be a experience to watch it if you can empathize with the characters played and blend with it. More to that its how this picture perfect cinematic frames which glues your eyes to it makes it more engaging and poetic. Every single frame in this movie is a virtual treat and no wonder what else we can expect from a talent like Nuri. That village near Anatolia , those cave shaped house that entire locality is just what a man desire to settle in and the way this film captures these places to silver screen is just breathtaking. Its definitely a virtual ride for sure and more to that the BGM is so melancholic giving us a melting feel. Special mention for some scenes were Argument between his sister n himself or the discussion between Aydin & wife or the pre climax scene where Ismail burn money in fire were all wonderfully made. This movie is definitely a treat for any world cinema liker and definitely not to be missed. But be sure you are well prepared to watch this lengthy saga before making a choice. For me its just yet another finest masterpiece from Nuri.

As the questions gets coming and her torture begins , more reasons reveal itself on why she is doing this to him. Movie starts good initially but there are many logic skips or illogical scenes which pulls this movie down. But still the way the story is revealed with every question and the twists it comes with it makes it watch at-least. Movie is not that good as other horror movie " Devil " or the torture treatment or the background story itself doesn't justify thr whole concept and so it fades away especially in last 20 minutes. But still this is worth once time watch for thriller movie seekers.

No wonder why The Lives of Others won 2006 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. What a experience it was watching this beautiful thriller cum drama. Such a beautifully scripted movie starts of so slow but gradually gets intense as it progresses. Its all about surveillance and how a Dramatist Georg Dreyman along with his wife Christa maria are been monitored after State security secret agents bugged their house entirely to watch every move.But one secret agent while running surveillance gets emotionally connected with these couple lifes and instead of reporting the strange incidents he starts to hide them in-order to save the couple. But will Wiesler Succeed in keeping them out of danger form basis of this movie . Whatever be it , the way that human emotions are portrayed here was very touchy and especially at the end when a book was published with dedication to Wiesler was so heart wrenching. This is a slow running movie but worth every second but if you are expecting to watch a high speed adrenaline thriller then this might be a bad choice. For me i personally enjoyed it and any world cinema liker should not miss it.

Yet another one of finest biographical movie i watched. Its about Malcolm a Afro American Muslim leader who fought for Human rights and injustice to Black people in North America. Played by Denzel Washington as Malcolm (a) X had done this role so perfectly. The struggle , his early life and his conversion to Muslim later to be raised as a National Leader for Nation of Muslim Organization was wonderfully depicted in this movie. Though this movie is more religious to a great extent and more of a preaching kind of thing which slows this movie down a lot , yet excluding this factor and just seeing it as a Biography , sure this would impress a lot. That goosebumps scene when he goes to visit his brother in police station with his bodyguards was stunning. Though this movie had good highlight scenes yet somehow the run time of 3hr 21 minutes will pull you down. Ending was sad by the way such a leader was banished from this world yet his struggle , his cause and his fights were key factors for what America is now . Movie worth watching once if you have that much patience and yes will be a experience for biographical movie likers.

This movie clearly sets a example for this quote " Empty Brain is Devils Workshop " . Such a sick movie though it started of well with POV from the protagonist perspective while he keeps narrating his own sick story here , it initially felt as if its a movie on Survival of Fittest or a Person turning against the society when he has got nothing to lose but i was wrong. Yes it deals with the most cruel part of society where it just couldn't give opportunity to a common when he needs it the most and having said such persons have no option but to think of taking desperate measures to keep their stomach fed .Though the pain and suffering is very much understandable , yet this Sick Bas***d right from kicking his Pregnant wife while killing his unborn child or with no sense killing the person who brought his daughter to him when she had reached puberty or at last taking a unexpected irritating measure to have a relationship with his own daughter is of extreme brutality to it. I felt he could have rather killed himself that would have been a better ending though but this is something unacceptable to encourage such a pedophile scumbag faggot.Let him be with any reasoning to his actions but that is not something of a digestible proportion. This is one of most disturbing movie i saw in recent times and this is not definitely for all. Avoid as much as possible

First thing first , lets not confuse with JINN Movie which was released on 2014. Unlike that movie DJINN is more of a horror film and does scare you at times. Though not much details were explored regarding the Jinn world in this film but still their Dark power and their capability are well explained. This is loosely based on true Incident occurred in legends of Jazeerat Al Hamra in Ras Al Khaimah ( U.A.E ) . Its about a couple who travel back to their native without knowing that its a ghost village and that husband is once a kid born to man and a demon mother but he was later cleansed and taken away from her mother to a different town . So his mother is on lookout for him and to make him come back to his native to take over the village and dominate it. So this is a fight between a innocent wife with Gods will vs the demon who is a jinn trying to breakup his husband from her. Movie plot though looks good , still it could have been more better as it was predictable at most part and that the CG works were not so impressive. Yet it is definitely worth watching once .

Perfect Musical Romantic Drama. There are not many movies which could beat you of the hook but this one just gets you in , blends you with it and makes you travel along. Such a clear perfect slow but beautiful love story. Plot is so different with a varied Point of view , movie exploring Out of Body experience during trauma and that your soul given a chance to make a choice whether to stay or move towards the light. Only those who are strong at will stay back and the choices they make decide on the people who are waiting for them on return. So cool , Chloë Grace Moretz as Mia was so perfect and that with the music from Cello n Guitar gets to you. Human emotions , sacrifices people do for each other , the pain of love and separation , Differences and understanding and more to all Parents love to their children every aspects are captured in this film. Music is a great plus to it though most of it is of Rock band yet some are so cool with some great lyrics. Special mention that last track Breath Deep Breath clear would get tears to your eyes with no choice. Great movie but not for everyone. Movie is Slow and Music is all , if you are one who love such movies then this is a treasure hunt for them .Dont miss it.

Really not that boring movie as i seen few comments about this movie. Yes story is cliche at most and at times those young boys were too immature with their performance . adding to that the explanation for their capture and locking them down was not so clear or acceptable , but all being said this movie still kept me engaged as i just love the CG works and walk around Maze ground. Its as if exploring a secret place and it was thrill and cool. Not the best movie but at same time not a movie which needs to be avoided. Worth watching just once.

The way the treatment of gangster Korean film will always have a unique touch in making and it will be more stylish then any normal film of different genre. Most of Korean films there will be no concept of Protagonist or antagonist as these characters will mostly play cameo role. This movie is about a Underrated Baseball player Lee Hwan whose life takes a diversion into Dark path of no return filled with Crime n Gambling and while his tenure he gets in contact with another Dreaded Gangster Jeong Sang-ha ( Played by Park Sung-woong known on other gangster films like SunFlower , New World ) Lee becomes Jeong trusted member stepping up the ladder under his supervision and how things take a fall due to misunderstanding which leads to a blood bath at last. Story is cliche and very normal but yet movie is quite engaging. Lee Hwan was more young and looks feminine , if this character was replaced by some-other it would have been more interesting. This movie ending will be like all other Korean Gangster movie climax and movie has many graphic contents everywhere as no Guns are been used by these gangsters and their favorite weapon of choice looks to be Knifes with blood everywhere. Except that this movie can be watched once for sure.

Finch has just proved his brilliance yet again with this movie and even before it all started this movie blocked its spot on the Oscar nominations for sure. Never guessed a moment it would be such a traumatic and haunting experience watching this movie and it almost goggled out eyes of every men watching this film in theater as if we can sense a fear in them as movie progressed.

This is a society were Injustice to women are heard and believed while ignoring actual facts at times or totally dislodging the fact there is a another species resides in this planet called Men. There are occasions Men undergo such trauma while they been victimized 'n' exploited by women but their pain is never heard or considered. This movie clearly brings out such a bitter truth what some are going through and leaves so many question in minds of viewer relating to the cruelty what men go through at times. As many know by now the main plot of the movie is about Nick ( Ben Affleck ) wife Amy ( Rosamund Pike ) disappearance and how circumstances turn fingers pointing towards Nick as a murder suspect as days progressed from the time Amy goes missing.But as movie goes further , the more darker, cruel , grudge , revengeful relationship been explored giving us spine chilling moments every minute post intermission. . The way nick's life gets crumbled in hands of a sociopath n psychopath was cleanly portrayed making the viewers feel the same pain too along with him. This is a thriller film but it can be easily considered into horror genre too.

With such a film with lengthy run-time , i just not felt dragged at any point and kept me at the edge in the seat till the end card. Its sure a brilliant screenplay which made it all happen and when the movie finished , it took me sometime to get back to real world and not just me , the people in theater too where just sitting on their seat as if they are thinking something in their mind or may be realizing few things behind their silence which was more scary then the actual film was. David Fincher is damn sure the god of thriller movies and this one is definitely exceptional. I always loved his films as the way of his story telling i felt it as unique with every single movie and the fear or thrill factor will be there for sure in each of his films. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo , Se7en , Zodiac , Fight Club were all my fav's too. Ben had just raised his expectation bar with his brilliant performance in this movie and he has just earned his viewers for upcoming Batman movie. This is a must watch movie and definitely not to be missed by any movie fan. Watch it in theater and get yourself Exorcised later....!! Happy watching.

There were so many movies released in this title or related to this story but compared to everything i liked this the most as this talks about the shear power of Hercules and his bravery instead of talking myths , magics or prophecies . This movie almost like a myth breaker by giving logical explanation on how legend was born and how those stories are manipulated among people to raise a man into a hero. Loved the way Dwayne Johnson performed this role throughout the movie along with his team. Battle sequences were good but not so great still it kept me engaging. A movie definitely worth watchable once.

Compared to its prequel , this movie was packed with powerful star-cast and it was more intense then others. The most catching factor for me was the brilliant antagonist role played by Mel Gibson who himself is a Ex-Expendable who founded this Mercenary Unit along with Sylvester Stallone. This part had more emotions to it and more it was like a reunion of all expendables team. Added to this cast there were few more who brought highlight to it like Harrison Ford , Wesley Snipes , Antonio Banderas made this team more powerful and dangerous . The First extradition task was very nice and the last lengthy fight sequence was good. It was nice to see Sylvester Stallone , Arnold and Mel G are in one movie together. A worthy action packed entertainer not to be missed.

In line of Indiana Jones or National Treasure movie in search of treasure 'N' secrets , this movie falls easily into that category. Its about a search of Midas box which is buried deep on earth and the one which is said to turn anything to gold which is placed inside the box. So anyone having possession of this box is said to control the entire world so for the sake it was buried deep down during Egyptian time. There is a key called Amulet which is needed to open the box and a map which shows the place where this Box resides. So our well known Jurassic park fame Sam Neill as Otto is the antagonist in this film who is in search of this search destroying anything that comes on is way. But yet he doesn't have the key amulet to open the box which is currently broken into two pieces and shared among two brothers Mariah Mundi and Felix Mundi. So this movie is about how Otto find these boys and if he is able to get to the midas box finally , if so what happens to the world falls the rest of story.

Movie is adventurous film quiet comical and falls into fantasy genre. As the boys start searching the secret of Midas box , it becomes quiet interesting to watch and movie travels like a bedtime story. Though its not the best one in this genre but sure worth a watch and is very engaging for sure.

A Perfect Canadian crime thriller which went unnoticed and underrated. This movie is based on Christian Mysticism and beliefs which would give us nostalgic feel like watching Frailty & Angels n Demons. This also falls into a serial killing movie but definitely with a different motive. Below is the logic part of the movie about which it revolves but anything more about this will spoil the suspense element of it.

"Bible was composed around 400 Anno Domini and it had some Oral components as these elements were prohibited from being written down anywhere and it can be only spoken . It was shared among the closed Christ disciples as these were meant to be communicated only between higher priests and as once the blessing been offered , the listener became the keeper of it and the speaker scarifies himself for Liberare Eos ( Means "Sacrifice to set them free" ) "

As the killing starts to happen one after the other with a strange pattern , the investigation of the crime scene becomes very interesting as if we are watching Memories ( Malayalam ) and Zodiac killing. Somehow the detectives decode the message on each kill to track the killer & as they do ,a much larger n darker secret gets revealed. You would understand what means this word Liberare Eos while watching it and how its related to the murders. At the end they show a dead body disappear which leads us to too many questions relating to the prophecy and beliefs which is really stunning. The tensions it builds in the film is so cool n spine chilling and it makes you stick to the seat till the end for sure. I liked this movie a lot and this is sure definitely a one time watch for any thriller movie fans. Enjoy watching.

A Isolated island in Korea called Paradise Highland or Evil island with a least population of just seventeen members live happily as a closed community. They reach to main island only if there is anything important needed from there else they are completely locked down within that island itself. They have doctors , teachers , electrician etc within those small group who take care of each other needs and they cook together and feast along as one large united family. Life goes normal until a murder takes place in a gambling arena in that island. So since no one from outsiders can come and do that , they start to suspect each other , many theories are brought forward in their meetings like ghost stories of cursed women , serial killers etc and some reason as things get tense they start to kill one after the other in misunderstanding till almost all been murdered except countable few. At last when secret revealed about doctors experiment for almost a year in that island things fall in place and answers for all those murders gets revealed.

Movie is very slow but still it just travels . Its rather feels like a family drama though it has killings and horror parts. Visuals are super cool but screenplay could have been far better and they could have prevented unwanted dragging at many places. Still it is one time watch but a average movie only.

A family commits mass suicide as a ritual to resurrect in afterlife by lending their soul to God of Osiris. Osiris was the god of the dead, and ruler of the underworld. Osiris was the brother/husband of Isis, and the brother of Nepthys and Seth. He was also the father of Horus. As well as being a god of the dead, Osiris was a god of resurrection and fertility. Osiris is also believed to be one who resurrected Jesus from death as per movie.

So the family nail them-self to the cross but the little younger son Danny tries to save his one year old brother Sam (a) Johnny from this mass suicide. Since not all souls from family was scarified as promised being the little One year kid gets to escape from the killing , the rest of souls of family member stays in limbo by not crossing over to other side. Johnny returns back to the estate after 18 years on his birthday to sell this 120 acre property and he happen to stay in that place overnight as he doesn't know much details on what happened in that house many years back. So the paranormal activities he encounters in that house and how he helps the souls to pass over to afterlife with the fifth nail of Jesus forms rest of the story.

Movie is definitely not bad and first few minutes that nailing to cross was scary and it feels too much of a occultism then spiritual thing. That big drawing on the floor with eye of Horus explains more about Osiris and the ritual was spine chilling too as if people are using a Ouija board. Story is good but haunted house concept is regular. Still its interesting and sound effects are used really well. That Emma girl on this movie is placed on for no purpose just like that and story is not strong enough to explain why she was there. Yet it is quiet good and can be a one time watch for horror movie fans. A average film , can be a good pick.

So Soviet Union had great mathematicians , cryptanalyst , mathematical biologist assemble together as a team in Britain's top-secret code-breaking center, Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II to break the code and decipher it. This is where Alan Turing Came into picture considered as the person who broke Enigma code. His life is made in BBC Documentary and also there is a upcoming film release on his life history called The Imitation Game by Benedict Cumberbatch

Here in this movie Enigma , the main character name is replaced to Tom Jericho who is called for to assist Breaking Code for the government where U-Boats are assembled in sea with a plan to attack and destroy Convoy with large number of cargo ships moving from soviet union to other parts of the world. Here in this movie Tom is recognized as person who broke the original Enigma code and he was called again because Germans got to know the secret that their encryption was no more secret which is created based on weather codes so they have altered the way code is generated because of which Soviets were no more able to decode the messages and inturn unable to find the location of the U-Boats any further. As with the last communication from U-boats before they changed the pattern , soviet knew that its roughly four days for the U-Boats to reach to their convoys so they are running against time to break it sooner before large damage is done. Single the code breaking machines are no longer used , manual code breakers are used to decode these messages and the new encryption is called Sharp enigma. So how tom works his way back to help break the Sharp Enigma code forms the rest of the story.

Whats so catchy about the film is the way it gives us opportunity to understand the Code based world along with those big machines , pattern makers , Enigma machine were all super cool. There are many movie fans who love to watch such genre movies on codes, cryptography and stuff which is almost a geek to its own understanding. Movie will be a little bit slow as it has parallel love track also along with the core plot but still it is engaging as it unfolds. For many it will be difficult to understand many technical terms used in the movie and may need repeated watch for sure or to go through few documentaries and articles to understand it. This is one cool movie not to be missed by any movie fan.
