Movie based on a book inspired from real events of Former Marine corp Swofford dealing about his days in duty while serving for his country in Kuwait patrolling and safe guarding oil fields from intruding Saudi army. Though the movie sounds like a war drama and battle field action but fact is it isnt even close. Swofford gets enrolled into Marine accidentally while he was trying to get into college for his higher studies but life takes him into a tight ride when he gets selected for elite Sniper squad under the team named Jarhead. How he survives the battle in Kuwait and the trauma , mental stress he and his team go through during their stay was clearly depicted here in this movie. But only sad thing is its dead slow with lack of action and more importantly a unconvincing ending with a sluggish screenplay pulls the movie to negative side.In other words there is nothing which this movie inspires actually rather just a one persons perspective on how life of a defense personal affects physically and mentally were shown here. Jake Gyllenhaal performance was good though in it. Nothing catchy about this film and might try it for a change if you like biographical films.

A new three sided pyramid was found buried deep under desert sands which is believed to be constructed way back before many centuries compared to other pyramids which exists. So to survey this pyramid they send in a robot to get the detailed info about it but as that Robot never returns back to the surface , group of archeologists along with few film crew decide to get into the pyramid by them-self to investigate it and also to retrieve that robot. But they had no idea whats waiting for them inside and will they make it out alive will be the part to be watched.

We have seem similar movie part before but this one is real good deal considering the thrill factor which was maintained throughout the film. More to that is the way they travel through the pyramid via those Mazes , secret tunnels and symbols it just make us feel as if we are there by ourself traveling with them. VFX was good unlike other monster movies and more to it the concept was fine too. This will not be a exceptional one but not the one which can be ignored. Definitely worth a try.

A very slow paced crime drama about a person ( Abel Morales ) who struggles through all odds by pursuing righteous path to keep his oil business in light while his competitors try to bring him & his business down through many ways. Abel always tries to keep himself cool n steady while he is been dragged in midst of all corruption and death treats he receives but till how long he could resist this happenings around him. Will he still stick with his values or will he step out of his comfort zone to tackle these situation forms rest of the story.

Movie is really good as it slowly builds the tense and intensity as it progresses. But be sure of the fact that this is a slow paced movie and need Patience to watch through it. I liked Anna character Wife of Abel who was bold and brave throughout the film but Abel is no less then said. But only issue is that Abel keeps on telling us that he just doesn't want to have a high life of a gangster creating a gangster movie like expectation but till the end it just stays as a day dream only which is disappointing. Finishing could have been a little better if it was altered a little but yet this is one of fine crime drama which deserves one time watch. Dont get misleaded thinking this as some Gangster movie which is not. Enjoy watching.

Another excellent Action movie from Korea based on revenge and redemption. Soo who is a well known criminal wanted by authorities for various crimes accidentally meets up with his twin brother with whom he got separated during childhood because of a incident. But their first meet after a long gap didn't go as expected as his twin brother gets killed by some unknown members before SOO Could even understand what was going on. From then on how SOO Takes his place disguised as his twin brother and takes revenge on people one by one who killed his brother forms rest of the story. Movie is quiet good n engaging though most of fights are gory and bloody. There are many movies came in same plot but this one is quiet good and worth a watch for Korean movie freaks. Have fun watching

Its a lovely divine feel when Music adds up with love and this movie gives you exactly that but in two angles. Anne Hathaway performs a lead role where her brother meets up with accident leaving him in coma bed ridden for days while Anne left him for months to pursue her Phd. So it leaves her sad that her reunion had to happen this way and she tries to spend most of her time with her lovely younger brother in attempt to recover him in every possible way she could.But what leads to be a journey of her life time when she comes across a well known local singer cum guitarist where this becomes more then just a casual relationship leaving anne in search for love. Weather her brother would recover from coma and will she get back her love forms rest of the story. Whats more catching factor is the music throughout the film is just awesome and leaves you awestruck. Story is very normal nothing special but when its all about music , at times you do tend to ignore many factors. Anne performance was so natural and does her role with ease. This movie will be a real treat for music lovers and especially guitarist cum violinist who might go mad for such a film but for the rest this would be just a average film. Enjoy this movie and experience the magic of music.

A perfect revenge based heist movie where a son takes revenge on a business man who is responsible for his father committing into suicide. He assembles a team to plan a perfect robbery and to bring down the empire of that antagonist while ending up into a cat n mouse game between police and them forms the core plot. Movie is so good though doesn't have much surprises or at most easily guessable but still its definitely a perfect entertainer. That detective head of police department character played really well and even the lead character the son did his part with clear perfection. More importantly it had a happy ending and is definitely a worth watching entertainer not to be missed.

A top notch action movie right from the start. A North Korean boy ( Ri Myung-hoon ) just on his 20's been trained as secret agent with special skills and made him infiltrate into South Korea with some deadly tasks. Though Ri Myung-hoon completes all the tasks given to him successfully he later gets to know that North Korea has betrayed and abandoned him . This turns into a rage of war and the end is no less then blood shed everywhere. Movie might feel as if a regular story but the treatment given to the script was stunning and especially every stunt scenes were par excellent. With the looks of a very young boy this guy Ri Myung-hoon did those stunts brilliantly keeping us amused at every action sequence. Movie just keeps its gear on till the end with a very good screenplay and making. Definitely this will be a treat for Korean action movie likers

Do-shik a right hand man and a loyal lieutenant for kingpin boss decides to go to school to complete his graduation as per his boss order so he could run the business far more better. But Do-shik who is a notorious gangster running most part of the city under his control along with two younger brother is now forced to go to school in disguise as a normal innocent student. His life changes there when he is been provoked by other students or when he fall in love and as well himself getting frustrated on school administration for mistreating students n teachers were it comes to a point whether he still need to hide is true identity or step out to fix things which forms rest of the story. There are many Indian movies in the same plot recently like Main hoon naa and few more but considering the fact it was released in 2001 this is still fresh and engaging. The lead characters done by three brothers was nice and that romance portion was catchy. Movie had some good stunts too along with some fun moments in school but overall this is sure a worth watch once film. Enjoy watching.

First and foremost is the lead role in this film played by Kang-ho Song well known for movies like Snow-piercer , Memories of Murder , JSA , Thirst , Host etc which itself is a catching factor for this film. Movie is about friendship bond between a north Korean spy and south Korean detective agent considering the fact they once tried to kill each other. The way the orders from a person named Shadow through computer codes was excellent and also how Kang-ho pursues them with fierce force was stunning too. Do not want to reveal the plot of the movie any more but sure this is one of very good Korean action cum drama film. Fight sequences are excellent and especially the way friendship was portrayed is really cool. A feel good film too..Definitely worth watching once and a must watch for Korean movie likers.

When their own boss decides to eliminate one of them for their business needs , will these three friends unite together and resist against their boss plans forms rest of the story. Movie starts good raising more expectation as a perfect gangster film but suddenly gets side tracked to become a comedy film during jail break attempts supported by a funny BGM. Though it was not bad to shift its genre but yet it could have been best if it was a gangster film by itself. Ending was expected and movie was okay types.

But his old past haunts him from leading a quiet life though his reputation being fearless follows him. How his life takes a complete turn when it comes to safety of his family falls core part of the story. Though plot sounds terrific but movie runs slow as its a kind of family drama too but having said that it will keep you hooked to it till the end. The last fight sequence was realistic and adding to that BGM of this film at most part was excellent. A movie which needs patience to watch but definitely worth it.

A nail biting Suspense thriller with a perfect engaging script right from the start. Movie is about Single Hard Day in a detective life which changes everything making him run for life. As story movies forward , the detective gets jammed on multiple issues escaping narrowly and when he finds that he was been framed all along things take a huge turn. Movie screen-time runs very fast and doesn't bore us at any minute plus the ending was exception especially that locker scene was just awesome reminded me of a scene in Breaking bad. This definitely worth a watch for Korean movie likers.

A movie closely based on life of Escobar Pablo alias Don Pablo who was a famous Colombian Drug dealer and a kingpin during 90's. This movie will be front a Pablos Niece boyfriend perspective and how his life changes drastically when he becomes part of Pablos family. The lead cast Pablo was done by our Che Benicio Del Toro who did a rock solid performance in this film. Not sure how easily he just fits into such powerful characters and here as Don he was just terrific to watch. Especially on second half when he shows his true nature and that little Jungle book story , it was just stunning. Though it is about a drug dealer and how is empire managed to survive those days yet it did had drama and love too. Sad is that with the climax but yet it proves how dreadful Pablo was once . After Things We Lost in the Fire and Che , i liked this film very much and it just kept us engaged till the last minute. Will be a treasure for Benicio fans. Enjoy watching.

Yet another nice Korean stylish action flick with revenge as core plot of this film. Unlike other movies , this is about gambling on a bhaduk Korean game just like chess or mahjong or cards. One such game goes in a wrong way resulting in murder of a player by local gang whose brother ends up in prison as he been framed for his elder brother death. So how his brother train himself in prison comes out to avenge his brother death forms rest of the story. Its interesting how such a game been shown in a engaging way mixing it with revenge theme and most importantly unlike other Korean movies , this one finishes with a happy ending and deserves a one time watch. A good movie for korean movie likers.

Had no single clue that this movie would be based on biblical events and closely related to Mosses and his ten commandments but it was really great . Exceptional performance from both Christian Bale as Mosses'a'Moshe with Joel Edgerton as Ramses. But what impressed me more was the making of film itself bringing Egyptian days infront of us is not so easy task but it was definitely stunning. In lines of Apocolypto which brought Mayans to silver screen i believe this exodus movie lived up to its purpose. Cinematography and CGI Works were excellent and i loved it. Yet another must watch film from my one of fav director Ridley Scott.

What if some serial killing happen due to Gene expression which starts from the first DNA but not of necessity. Were these serial killers are made but not born ...well this movie says otherwise..!! A crime scene investigator with special skills called down to track down a serial killer who is murdering women in a particular pattern leaving identical marks on his victim. So it gets tense as murders continue to happen but things get little tough and hard for the detective as it gets more personal then he thought it to be. But at the end , it gives a whole new dimension behind the minds of serial killers when this movie end. Movie seems regular as we seen so many similar story before with slow during first hour of the movie and gets engaging as it progresses. This would not be a best of its genre but not a bad one to skip too. One time watch.

One another brilliant find from Ridley Scott missed so long especially from my one of favorite actor Russell Crowe. Story is about a Successful investment broker Max Skinner ( Russell ) in London happen to travel to France after many years when he gets to know that he inherits a old house and a vineyard left by his uncle after his death. Max spent most of his childhood there in that place with his uncle but life pushed him to become a money making machine but at cost of missing the very essence of life. When he travels back to France to complete some documentation procedures to inherit and sell that vineyard , that short stay has a huge impact on him turning his life upside down making him realize whats more important this life has for us then money can give. That short journey is what this story is all about.

Movie is visually stunning at most times , picture perfect scenes when covering the scenic beauty of France and its country side , those serene places were perfectly brought to the screen. Adding to that , those little friendship , his love track and his cousin intro were all so good and adds more beauty to this film. Especially the scenes when he has those nostalgic effect every time he goes by those places he used to spend in his childhood that pool tennis court etc..they were really wonderful and at last Max decision to choose love over money gives that perfect balance for a feel good movie. This is one of beautiful family drama i would call with some brilliant visuals supported by some beautiful BGM. A Movie definitely need to be experienced.

Old boy , I saw the devil or New world fame Min-sik Choi playing a main character in the film places itself in a must watch list for most Korean movie freaks. Movie is inspired from life of Yi Sun-shin who was a Korean Naval commander who emerged victorious in a war against Japan, Just as much as we liked movie 300 were these brave few fearlessly face thousands of opponents , just like this in this movie its about war on water where Ships Outnumbered 133 to 13 but his tactful approach and his inspiring leadership brings people together to win this war. Movie is kind of slow pace at first half but it would gradually would get its grip back on track and especially that fights on water was damn cool. BGM was the most catching factor in the film and keeps that intense atmosphere till the end. Though it might look so close to 300 Rise of an empire movie while watching ships at war , yet this has its own positive factors to it. Unlike other Korean movies with a sad ending , this movie doesn't seem to follow that routine and a happy ending is always a satisfying factor for most.This is one movie not to be missed for sure. A perfect periodic war movie based on true events.

Yet another wonderful movie based on Nicholas Sparks novel. As like all his writings and movies based on previous work ..this movie gives the same exact impact on us as like others. What if life gives you a another chance to recover from your deepest hurt love caused when hit touched you for the first time in past , will you take it or walk passed it is exactly this story is about. There are two love tracks happen simultaneously one being the past which is 21 years back and the other being present day. How two people life change in time with destiny bringing them together for one last time with so much emotions , feelings love n tears , was wonderfully portrayed here. I loved the past line especially with Liana Liberato as young amanda as she was just so gorgeous cute n chubby that she keeps us stay hooked to the screen at her every presence. But overall it was such a wonderful movie , a very feel good one except the ending which was so melancholic giving us a thought if it could have been any different. But having said that , this movie is a experience to watch and not to be missed if you want your memories to rewind back a little.

A very new and fresh storyline closely blended to Manam Telugu movie but with actions , romance and sentiment in a single combo pack. This movie could have been easily made into blockbuster charts and critics top favorite movie of the year if a little care was taken in screenplay department . A good script spoiled by a uncanny cliche ridden making with too many logic skips more then we can bare. Songs came out so good but spoiled by horrible BGM. Don't wanna go into revealing the plot but i liked the concept atleast and its Dhanush who carries it through. His performance was the only factor which can be a guarantee for the time and money we going to spend for this film especially with kali character top notch. A brisk first half and Danga Mari entry into second half spoiled by a sloppy ending. Worth watching once if you like dhanush acting.

A perfect trademark GVM Film right from start till end and he just keeps proving that he is a master when it comes to making a cop film. The treatment he uses to each of his cop film always stays unique just like his predecessor Kakka Kakka or Vettaiyadhu vilayadhu this Movie YA Stands out as a winner yet again for sure. After Mankatha seeing Ajith in a cop movie again was just so cool and will be one of memorable film in his carrier. Top notch performance from Ajith with pure class and style.

First half felt little disconnect here n there especially with a slow paced screenplay but as movie ran through its course mainly on second half, things gets sorted out revealing itself with a explanation for each scene on first half. Strange somehow Harris plugged it out in this film as most of the tracks synced well with the movie and especially BGM was awesome throughout the film. When its GVM will there be any lack of romance portion , well he blended it so meticulously , specially with two actress filling those spots giving us a feel good experience and "Malai vara pogudhey" song visual had a touch of GVM written all over it. I dont deny there were few flaws here n there but that is all taken away with a engaging Second half with a edge of seat moments and sharp dialogues from both ajith and as well as Arun vijay (a) Victor. Without a perfect villain no cop movie is fulfilling and i believe Arun had done a tremendous job completely justifying his character.

This is definitely a good decent film for every audience and can be enjoyed thoroughly . For ajith fans , sure this will be their festival season with such a powerful opening. With a Romance n love filled First half and action cum Thriller filled second half this movie will definitely impress many viewers and critics as well. Just give it a try and enjoy the show...experience it.
