Starbuck ( 2011 ) - French
A perfect feel good movie with a complex theme. I thought this was kind of similar to Bollywood movie Vicky donor only to realize that except the core concept this is totally different. A movie about a sperm donar who was notified that he has fathered around 533 people in which around 142 kids have filed a legal lawsuit to reveal his identity . Later part shows how he tries to keep his anonymity with help of his lawyer friend fighting against this lawsuit and at same time starts to emotionally bond with his children while he tries to understand few of them personally. Patrick as David Wozniak also known as Starbuck has acted superbly well. Though this is something which is no close to reality but yet its sure a bold concept from the director and it just keeps you entertained every minute. As david starts to explore life of his children , he creates some impact on their life with his presence and gives the viewers a very nice feel. A scene were everyone , every children of Starbuck meet near a fishing bank for camping while sharing their joy and happiness would really touch our heart seeing such a extended family of brothers and sisters. At the same time during last 20 minutes , there is a small conversation from Davids father was heart touching too...!!! This is one good movie not to be missed. Enjoy the show and think twice before being a sperm donor :))
