American Hustle (2013)
Though they say at title card that most of the movie was inspired from true events but not sure how far this is true. Story in simple words about life of a con man who was trapped by FBI later offered a chance to assist them in capturing many other white collar crimes inreturn for their freedom from any procecution. Christian Bale performed as Con man ( as Irving Rosenfeld ) paring up with Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper as Richie DiMaso an FBI Agent . This movie revolves around these few characters and yes there is one more the mayor played by Jeremy Renner. Though this had a gripping plot but really failed to the core to keep the screenplay interesting. Very sluggish and slow indeed , will sure test your patience with long run of reels. This is sure not upto standards for a actor like Christian bale. Though he did his best to the role he played , he even put on weight for this but still this movie lags to the core except last 15 minutes when CB plays his cards which will comfort us somewhat considering the pain we going through first half. The girls amy and jennifer are the only insurance you have for choosing this movie as they are the only most comforting faces in this movie . Bradley did his best as Hypersensitive FBI Agent but how long.... not really impressive but there was one character performance stood out from the rest and that would be Jeremy renner as Mayor , he really did his character well and atleast he was one who make us feel their is family , emotion , friendship , sacrifice in this movie. But apart form that this movie is very average one watchable once and i am sure selecting it for second time will give headache. Watch at will and this is not for all movie likers.....!! Might impress only specific audience. Nothing more.
