After a much await and unexpected houseful theater , i had chance to witness one hell of a action packed movie and feel as if blessed. Though as lot of others say , i may not even call it as sequel as this story movies along with its predecessor King Leonidas who marched 300 men against a mighty god king. Though the later one talks war on land , this film covers navy part of it led by Themistokles ( by Sullivan Stapleton ) which also played a important role during this war in real history. As name says , this movie brings entire Greek empire to one mighty force to go against the great king.
 

That being said if it was not for Artemisia played by Eva Green , this movie wouldn't have had that zing in it. Stunning performance by her and she definitely stood out. Sullivan did under perform a bit because he was no spartan and he couldn't bring the same ferocity and aggressiveness as Gerard butler , but i assume they purposefully didn't give that impact to this character much because they want to differentiate with the way Spartans do. Even when Themistokles addresses his soldiers , we could get that kick in it or gives any impact to the audience as much as we remember every dialogue spoken by King Leonidas in previous film . Unfortunate we cannot stop ourself comparing with its later part but yet this movie has his own catching points.


Added to that this movie also covers a little bit of Xerxes and potrays reasons for his wage towards vengeance. What makes this movie be a edge of the seat experience is its breath taking picturization , should admit that it was just mind blowing every scene on the sea. Every action sequence would capture us with no blink of our eye . sure was brilliantly made especially the war of ships in sea. Having all said i still feel this is somewhat not upto the mark of its previous predecessor because we miss spartans until they are introduced at last few minutes. This movie neither starts at some point nor it ends at any ,leaving Xerxes out there breathing giving us a hint that there is still a sequel evident which we might except shortly. Overall this was no boring movie and definitely was a brilliant one not to be missed. Enjoy the Greek empire in march , while Spartans roar .. huh..huh..huh......
