The Purge: Anarchy (2014)
Unlike its Prequel , this part is all together different level. As we know Purge is one day where Government authorizes every citizen on that purge day to relinquish their grudge , revenge on others as Murder is very much legal on that one day exactly 12 hours in that day. So how various life's gets affected due to it is what this two movies are about.
Though it sounds weird , watching it in screen would give more impact then what you heard. This brings out the cruel intentions of the people and at same time how Government take advantage of this Day to their benefit to eradicate poverty totally from the country. When there is no poor then there is no unemployment and this Purge was Brought in support to that purpose only. This movie brings yet another random characters and how they survive through the night from clutches of sadistic murderers which is no different from the previous one , but having said that there are many parts in the story which would be more shocking and haunting in nature. Few like the old man who volunteer as Martyr to a rich family who gave 100Million dollars to that old man family so that the family can participate purge on that day staying indoors killing this old man for their psychopathic desire and the other thing is when people are abducted n taken to a place where all rich people are gathered. So the highest bidder gets control of these abducted individual and they are taken into a big room like a maze game where these rich people hunt them down one by one for their pleasure. Last but not least , government them-self stepped into the field to kill many people on purge day to increase the purge death ratio and to fasten the poor people free nation. These are all the hard truths noticed in this movie difficult to be swallowed and it was definitely haunting to the core when that thought crosses your mind to realize on how it would be when this happen for real in future. Apart from the subject movie was okay and i would say it was better then the previous part. Had much action sequences , escape sequences in it. I would say a average thriller can be watched once.
